We’re in the process of re-developing one of the most popular parts of asda.com and we need your help to really make it stand out from the crowd.

The Asda store locator is used by thousands of existing and potential customers every day to help them find the best store for their shopping trip.

We’re currently building a great new version of the store locator which is much easier and quicker to use and gives you the chance to share specific information about your store – including a message from the GSM, his or her photo, some friendly driving directions, and even a gallery of store photos.

And that’s where you come in!

We’re trying to collect as many of these new details and photos as we can as quickly as possible. The new locator will be going live very soon, so it would be great to have as many store pages as possible looking really spick and span!

Here’s what you need to do:

1. Send us a photo of your GSM

We just need a nice head and shoulders shot, nothing fancy! Upload this to us using the ‘Join In’ link on the right-hand side of any Green Room page and we’ll add it to the new store locator. If you could include his or her name in the message when you upload the photo, that will help make sure we don’t get them mixed up!

2. Send us some ‘friendly’ store directions

Think of what you might say to someone who rang you up to ask you or stopped you on the street and asked the way. Here are a couple of examples we’ve had from Glasshoughton and Wakefield:

Asda Glasshoughton can be seen from the M62 Motorway at Junction 32 and can be approached either by following the A639 Leeds Road through Glasshoughton village or by cutting through Xscape and the J32 Designer Village on Colorado Way which will bring you to the Asda roundabout, right next to the new wedge-shaped college. From the Wakefield area, take the Normanton bypass and arrive at the Asda roundabout from the west.

Asda Wakefield is on the A6186 Asdale Rd just next to Pugneys Country Park. If you are travelling to us by the motorway its really easy, just get off the M1 at J39 on the first roundabout head to Wakefield, at the next round about go straight on and at the third roundabout go right. Pass Pugneys and you cant miss us. Parent and child parking is available immediately next to the store entrance and if you need any assistance at all just ask our super Greeter Neil who is always Happy to Help.

You can get these directions to us using the ‘Join In’ form again (do it at the same time you send us a GSM photo!) or use the new Wire form which has just been made available.

3. If you’re really keen, we’d also like some more photos – ideally one of the store from the outside and two or three of colleagues or activities inside. However, it’s a store photo that would really help.
