Colleagues raise an amazing £4 million for Tickled Pink

A huge thank you to our colleagues, customers and supporters who helped us raise an amazing £4,000,740 for Tickled Pink in 2010. We could not have achieved this without you, so thanks to every single one of you for your contribution.

This year is our 15th anniversary of Tickled Pink and promises to be our biggest year yet – we are counting on you again to help raise the most money we can for such a good cause. On behalf of Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Campaign, thank you for your continued support!

Colleagues from ASDA Doncaster doing a sponsored run and walk to our nearest store Carcrost. Paul Hudson initially ran from Carcroft to Doncaster then the girls walked back dressed in pink.We held a fun day on Saturday to raise funds for Tickled Pink - we raised nearly £500 on the day. Next Saturday we have 4 brave grocery colleagues having their legs waxed for Tickled PinkDave, one of our Wythenshawe Grocery colleagues, in a Sponsored Bean Bath for Tickled Pink. By the time we finished adding things, there was beans, peas, hot dogs, custard and sugar puffs in it. He was such a good sport... Thanks Dave.Me and my colleague Vikki Mastin spent 2 hours in a freezing cold bath of jelly to raise money for Tickled Pink. H&L colleague Tina and Grocery colleague Mark, who definitely got into character!!Our GSM Jon Bell dressed up for the GSM bike ride on Monday 6th September and raised over £100 for Tickled pink!For Yorkshire day we turned our trolley bay into a tea room. We sold tea and cake to the customers, which was greatly appreciated as it turned out to be quite a chilly day! All proceeds went to Tickled Pink!Tickled Pink cake stall went really well and we made £319! Well done, team!6 colleagues from Wigan Depot decided to host a Come Dine With Me, for Tickled Pink. Once a month a colleague would host the evening and the 5 other diners would pay £10 into the pot. Over the 6 months they raised £300 and enjoyed every mouthful. Halifax colleagues got "glammed" up at the Tickled Pink party, and still, whilst letting down their hair they still managed to raise more money. Here are two Home shopping colleagues Linda & Shona.We walked the coastal route from Port Eynon in Mumbles South Wales to Rhossilli. It was a bit windswept but we managed to raise £141 for Tickled Pink, thanks to the windy and wet colleagues of Aberdare store.Colleague Chris Pearce does it again dressed as SHREK to raise money for Tickled Pink. Well done Chris and thank you!We have raised £8600! Lynn won the Green Room competition and won a bike! Lynn has donated it to be raffled off for Tickled Pink. She is a special lady and a great colleague and has achieved another 100% on Happy to Help.Lynda Bigham, Stockton on Tees: I recently took part in my 3rd Great North Run and have also completed Andy Bonds three peak challenge twice. I have done them to raise money for Tickled Pink as it is such a worthy cause. Thanks Dave.Asda Broadstairs’ Pedal Power event raised £217.00 for Tickled Pink. We teamed up with our local gym Bannatynes and kept two spin bikes on the go from 10am to 4pm, with staff volunteering to take turns for 15 mins each. The event was a huge success! Asda Bodmin had a charity football match against Morrisons Bodmin and raised £650 for Tickled Pink! We won 6 – 0.Our store has just raised over £2000 when we all took part in a sponsored walk for Tickled Pink. This will take our store total to over £5550. We think this is fantastic for Tickled Pink!Nuneaton store Tickled Pink fundraising total so far... £4699!Nuneaton store Tickled Pink fundraising total so far... £4699!John Harvey went out of his way to track stock down for a customer, and was our ABCD winner for July. A very humble John said that anyone would have done the same to help a customer! Well done John, we are very proud of you!Chepstow held a wear pink for Tickled Pink day with prizes for the best outfits across all shifts and 24hr pool challenge. We had some quite outrageous outfits as you can see from the pictures and we had a lot of fun whilst raising over £200 for Tickled The colleagues at Asda Living Wrekin Park in Telford have had a fantastic day fundraising for Tickled Pink. £400 was raised in 6hrs through various activities. There was a bake sake, a raffle and the day finished with the management team getting soakedSome colleagues showing off their pink tutus and bras, all in aid of Tickled Pink!All colleagues at ASDA Living Llantrisant took part in a fundraising weekend, for Tickled Pink. All colleagues took part in riding on the exercise bike for ten minutes each. Everyone dressed in pink, including wearing tutus and pink bras over our T-shirtsOur raffle table at the front of the store. Victoria, our community colleague, organised a highly successful Pink Day in Bromborough on 4th Sept, with the help of a local community radio station, local children’s entertainment, a special appearance from Pink Panther, and a 1950 vintage bus.ASDA Elgin have had a great time fundraising for Tickled pink this year with sponsored walks, bottle stalls, wearing pink for the day, raffles and braver colleagues bathing in a bath of pink delights! So far we've raised £6,152!!Durham Living colleagues had fun on Sat 11 Sept. We made the most of our toy deals 2 for £8 and 2 for £10. Lock, Stock & Soaking Sponge. This involved colleagues choosing which manager they would like to lock in the stocks & then getting to throw sponges soaked in pink custard at them! Colleagues and managers at Asda Gravesend had an amazing day in store on saturday 16th of october with two events running. The first was a pedal power event with a static bike in the foyer and colleagues from across the store taking turns. Ashley Carradine had his legs waxed and beard off and Alison had her hair shaved off in store!Crazy colleagues at Fulwood Store in Preston decided to return Back To School and dress as St Trinian's style unruly pupils for the day to raise funds for Tickled Pink.Our colleagues got drenched in the cold weather to raise money for Tickled Pink. Well done!Tickled Pink Fundraising - Produce colleagues Rhia & Johnny help out with fundraising for Tickled Pink in our Wet 'n' Wild event!Colleagues and managers from ASDA Elgin climbing Ben Rinnes in the memory of Olivia Cameron (a former colleague of the year) who sadly died earlier this year. We raised £1500 for Tickled Pink and the Anchor Unit at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.Our store at Leckwith held a 'wear it pink' day in store and our Fresh Team Leader Brian Saxby wore a pink tu-tu and leg warmers to join in. We raised £374 in total! What a great result!A fantastic effort from colleagues and we raised £131 for Tickled Pink!I am the Community Colleague at Fareham. In 2008 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, so Tickled Pink means a lot to me. I got Sharon Hankey, a colleague and friend, and we did a skydive for Tickled Pink. We raised £855.Asda Chelmsley Wood challenged Asda Cape Hill to a charity Tickled Pink football match. This run and walk has raised a total of £500 for Tickled Pink.
