Will you take on the Three Peaks Challenge?
Rob Chester has taken on the challenge of organising the Asda Three Peaks walk this year and is looking for around 200 colleagues to join him on 18th May 2012.

If you are fit enough to take on the challenge of walking (or even running) the three highest peaks in Yorkshire then we would like you to sign up using the form below.
The demanding but rewarding walk takes in the summits of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in one circular route.
Please consider the following before committing your name to the group:
- You would need to raise a minimum of £150 on an individual basis for the charity.
- An overnight stay on Thursday 17th May would be recommended due to the early start of 7am for some groups on Friday. This would be at your own cost. The aim is to get everyone checked in within an hour as this gives everyone the opportunity to complete the walk within daylight hours. The average completion time is 13.5 hours and we have had some teams finishing in the dark in previous years.
- Before signing up please make sure you research the walk on the internet so that you can see what it entails and what you are letting yourself in for. If you search for “3 peaks Yorkshire” you will find plenty of sites that give you a taste of what to expect – it is a tough physical challenge no matter what your level of fitness.
- You would need to provide your own equipment, suitable walking boots and clothing. If you are inexperienced walker, you will need to partner up with someone who has some knowledge of reading a map and compass. The path is reasonably easy to follow (except at one point as teams again found out last year) but everyone is responsible for their own health and safety on the day.
- You would need to provide your own transport.
Unlike previous years we will provide updates on the event on the Green Room. Updates will be provided on 1st of February, March, April and May.
We’re going to be raising money for the Tickled Pink campaign – but if other colleagues have charities closer to their heart that they want to support then feel free to do so.

A big good luck to the Gsm and Manager's at asda Parkhead. Not only are they taking on this challenge they have also been working hard in store at fundraising for Tickled Pink and the Beatson in Glasgow which is based in Glasgow and helps local people with Cancer.
A truly amazing team

I'm hoping to complete it in less than 8 hrs as part of my training for the Bob Graham Round on June 2nd. The BGR is 42 mountains over 66 miles in the Lake District in a weekend! Anyone interested?

It's not easy but if you have the right mental attitude to keep going, it's the best sense of achievement when you get back to that car park!
I still have dodgy looking toenails but it's well worth it! Sign up if you haven't already done so!!
