Sylvia Taylor from Golborne (Former Security department) says:
I was brought to ASDA on the day it opened. It was snowing and I was reluctant to trudge across Golborne to see what my mother was making a fuss about. I can remember being dragged up and down the aisles in bewilderment. We got our first fridge from ASDA Golborne, it was a Snow Queen and cost £53. Spent that summer making ice lollies for my friends! Later became a colleague working in the security department with Chris Downey (who is now a police officer) The late Eric Waterworth, Jim Winstanley and Ian Hamilton (who still works at the store) Well done Val! It's a testament to the atmosphere at the store that many of the people I worked with are still there.

Sharon Hadgraft from Golborne says:

Matthew Jenkinson from Golborne - 4136 says:
