Asda shows its Pride

This summer has seen Asda LGBT take part in local prides all around – we’ve been up and down the UK showing our support in all the regions. Colleagues share some of their experiences below:

Cymru Pride
“The atmosphere was fantastic at Cymru Pride – the day was filled with fun, kindness and energy. I am truly proud to support LGBT and feel that I have made many new friends – oh and I mustn’t forget the evening entertainment which was simply electric!!” – Jo, Asda Pwllheli

Nottingham Pride
“The festival developed a great example of colleagues pulling together.” – West Bridgford Supercentre, Nottingham

London Pride
“With the Asda Cheer and various chants we hoped that our presence helped prove that Asda supports LGBT causes, values diversity and is a champion for all! We also were encouraged by people who approached us saying they were pleased Asda had an LGBT group and were glad to shop at Asda.” – Bruce, London

Liverpool Pride
“More than 50,000 were expected at Liverpool Pride on Saturday and our Banner was huge! Had such a fantastic day! Bring on Liverpool Pride 2014.” – Sharon, Southport

Leeds Pride
“We went to Leeds pride with Asda House and Colleagues from around the business. We had a fantastic day and had fun throughout the day. Next it’s time for Manchester.” – Stephen, Radcliffe

Belfast Pride
“The crowds all the way round were singing and chanting Asda when they saw us ‘Go Asda!’ I have always been proud to work for Asda but this has got to be my proudest moment. We definitely raised the image of Asda sky high!” – Sharon, Dundonald
