Get involved in our Community Christmas campaign - Give a Gift

Our Community Christmas campaign Give a Gift starts today in all stores – supporting good causes on a local level, rather than a national level.

Give a Gift

The campaign runs over three weeks and covers three themes – supporting three charities in each store. The charities being supported by the in-store activities have all been nominated by customers – this is a great example of our colleagues and customers working together to really make a difference in their local community.

Each week will see activities taking place for customers to get involved in – with all proceeds going to the chosen local charity – and there will be non-monetary donations too like toys, clothes and tins.

See what will be happening in store each week below – and don’t forget to upload your photos to the Green Room so we can see all the great community work you’re doing!

Week 1 – Monday 2nd December is ‘kids’ week. Stores will choose a local charity of that theme to support and will run a lucky dip with donations going to that charity. Superstores will also be running a trolley collection for toys.

Week 2 – Monday 9th December is ‘warmth’ week. Stores will choose a local charity of that theme to support and will run a gift wrapping session with donations going to that charity. Superstores and living stores will also be collecting hats, gloves and scarves to donate to the Salvation Army.

Week 3 – Monday 16th December sees us end the campaign on ‘food’ week. Stores will choose a local charity of that theme to support and will run a ‘Guess the number of baubles’ competition with a special hamper as the prize. Superstores will be running a trolley collection for tins etc too.
