Leiths School of Food and Wine have just launched a new book ’How to Cook’ and we’ve got a signed copy to give away!

The book is exclusive to Asda for four weeks and now available on for just £12. The cookery course takes you through 500 contemporary recipes which cover every aspect of food preparation and cooking, from classics with a modern twist, to international cuisines – all with step-by-step photographs.

The recipes include salad of beetroot, goat’s cheese and candied pecans, chicken and wild mushroom ravioli with morels and pear and almond tart. And check out this Green Room exclusive meringue grissini recipe!

The book covers the essentials that most cookbooks leave out like how to prepare every ingredient from scratch, how to judge when meat is perfectly cooked and the best way to carve roasts, the correct texture at every stage of pastry, cake and bread making, and how to make the perfect pasta and risotto.
