Yorkshire stores raise £53,000 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance!

Asda colleagues

For the past 12 weeks 16 of our Yorkshire stores have been raising money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance by holding lots of fundraising evens. These have included BBQs, tombolas, cake stalls, jail breaks, bag packs, raffles, sponsored walks and the Asda Foundation 10k.

The 16 stores – Adel, Barnsley, Bradford, Dewsbury, Glashoughton, Halifax, Harrogate, Huddersfield, Keighley, Killingbeck, Morley, Pudsey, Shipley, Wakefield, West Bradford and York – raised an amazing £53,000 in total!

It costs £300 to save one life so the generous people in these local communities will have helped save 177 lives!

The Air Ambulance landed at Asda Glasshoughton to thank all the Community Life Champions and GSMs for their hard work. Richard Gratton the ROM for Yorkshire presented the cheque to Kerry Garner (YAA) and two of the paramedics who work on the ambulance.
