During February Asda have been fundraising for the British Heart Foundation. We Supported the Ramp Up the Red day with colleagues wearing red, we had a rowing machine, a tombola and our GSM Amanda Hubbard did a Pedometer Challenge taking 11,468 steps in a single day! customers were invited to guess how many steps Amanda took for a 50p donation and the winner generously donated the prize of a Fruit and Vegatable hamper to the Bideford Bay Children's Centre.
Community Life Champion Peter Wilcox supported the Bideford College Careers and Community fair. Our stall showcased what Careers ASDA has to offer school leavers.
Harbour the Bideford based homeless charity were runners up in our Chosen By You...Given By Us charity vote for November and December. Winning £50 an additional £119.43 was raised during our "Warmth week" before Christmas. Customers also donated 74 items of clothing to the Salvation Army.
Tarka Child Contact Centre were runners up in our Chosen By You...Given By Us charity vote for November and December. Winning £50 an aditional £204.52 during our "Children week" before Christmas.25 gifts were donated to the charity by our customers
Northern Devon Food Bank won our Chosen By You...Given By Us charity vote for November and December. Winning £200 an aditional £262.05 was raised during our "Food week" before christmas. Customers also donated two shopping trolleys full of food for the charity.
ASDA Bideford are working in partnership with Bideford Lions Club providing a spectacle recycling bin. Customers are invited to donate their old specs which are re ground and shipped over to the third world.
ASDA Bideford Raised £261.24 in aid of the Northern Devon Food Bank. Customers donated 50p a go and hed to guess how many baubles were in the jar. the correct answer was 79 and a christmas hamper was won by Martin Holding.
