I had the pleasure of visiting Haddington 1st Rainbows to pick up a selection of groceries collected by the girls for Basics Bank. The Rainbows are working towards The Big Brownie Birthday Challenge, helping celebrate a 100 years of the Brownies. Well done girls.

Volunteers Lorraine and Steve Gilchrist from Dunbar Basics Bank were overwhelmed by the generosity of our customers during the awareness day on Saturday. 727kg of food was collected. Asda Dunbar is now a permanent collection point for the Basics Bank, this can be found next to the Community Life Board .

Local NHS Health Visitor Eilidh Ross collects one of the four trolleys of gifts donated by our customers. These will be distributed amongst local pre school children.

Foodbank dec13

Members of Dunbar Rotary Club were in store collecting for East Lothian Foodbank. More than 10 trolleys of goods were donated and £170 was donated through collections and guess the number of baubles in the jar!!!
