Asda Dunbar were lucky to have the Happier Mealtimes pop up kitchen visit today. They provided samples of delicious dishes such as Lamb Scotch Broth, Spiced Root Vegetable Tagine and Apple and Rhubarb muffins encouraging customers and colleagues alike to use quality seasonal and locally sourced produce.
Some of the amazing ladies who volunteered their time at Asda Dunbar to help raise a fantastic £629.85 for Headway East Lothian, the Brain Injury Association.
I had the great pleasure to present the volunteers at Dunbar Basics Bank with a cheque for £200 as the winning nominees for the Asda Dunbar's November/December Chosen by You voting. Working closely with the Basics Bank has given me opportunity to personally witness the amazing work they do within the community, providing such a welcoming environment that many clients return as friends popping in for friendly chat and delicious soup and homebaking.
East Lothian Dragons Girls Basketball Team had a very successful bag pack here at Asda Dunbar and even helped out with our Guess the number of elves activity raising an additional £84.60.

Dunbar United Colts Football Club received £150 towards new training bags. This was half of the money raised by colleagues and customers during the World Cup 2014, with the other £150 being donated to Help for Heroes
