Question Time for The Mayor Of Sandwell by the children of Denbigh Playscheme. The kids came up with some really interesting questions and some funny ones that made us all chuckle "Mr Mayor are you rich" was my favourite!!!

The children were given the opportunity to hold The Tipton Mace which is a very valuable piece of history. Traditionally the Mace was used as a weapon by The Sargent At Arms to protect The Mayor from harm and every town had its own unique Mace. Luckily today it is no longer used as a weapon and is now a symbol of tradition, if you are lucky enough to hold it gloves must be worn to save it from any damage. The children made thier own Mace and Chain which was also pretty impressive!!!

Bread making with kids from Denbigh Playscheme, very very messy but lots of fun. The kids really enjoyed mixing the ingredients in the bag, we baked it for them and they took it home to enjoy!!!

We worked with pupils from Summerhill Primary school and local police officers to create mosaic pictures for the school's outdoor gardening project. It should all be ready for the new term to start. Here is Elliot from Disney's Pete's Dragon. Once he's finished he will take pride of place in the new area!!!
