Welcome to the Green Room page for
Here's a fitting tribute to a much missed member of our community... Haines walk, a local nature spot in our town has been renamed Fred Perry walk in memory of Fred Perry MBE, who was known to many locals as Poppy Man. Most weeks you could find Fred in our store fundraising for a worthy cause. He helped us raise thousands of pounds over the years for Tickled Pink and other great charities and would be in our foyer every November selling poppies no matter what the weather. The walk was officially renamed on the 1st anniversary of Fred's passing. Pictured above is Mayor Derek Rowley with Fred's widow Irene, who is very proud of all the great work he did.
At the end of the summer playscheme party the kids were treated to a visit from Crackers The Clown and enjoyed a day full of fun, party games, prizes and lots of lovely food. They all had a great time and are looking forward to the next school holidays!
We went along to Denbigh summer playscheme to make pizza with the kids. They got to choose their toppings and make a pizza from scratch. We cooked the pizzas and served them for lunch!
We supported an Eide session at Great Bridge Library, there were lots of activities for the children to take part in, lots of lovely food and Henna body art too.
Sandwell Council Help 4 U event. The tables were packed full of information for our customers on various services and help thats on offer for Sandwell residents
Question Time for The Mayor Of Sandwell by the children of Denbigh Playscheme. The kids came up with some really interesting questions and some funny ones that made us all chuckle "Mr Mayor are you rich" was my favourite!!!
