For the third year in a row Asda Harwich have taken on the Birkett Long £50 Challenge in aid of St Helena Hospice. Two of our lovely Asda colleagues, Sandra Bates and Mary Long, cycled from Asda Harwich to Mersea Island and back, a distance of 59 miles, to help raise money for this challenge. Collectively the girls have risen a total of over £520.00. Congratulations and very well done.
Help for Hereos weekend was on 15th and 16th July and we raised money with help from our local Army Cadets troop.

For the third year running, Asda Harwich has taken on the £50 challenge to raise money for St Helena Hospice. The Birkett Long £50 Challenge is an apprentice-style competition where businesses register for the challenge and received £50 on the challenge launch day. They are then given 3 months to multiply their money by being as creative as possible in their fundraising efforts. Two of our male colleagues, Shane and Ashley, volunteered to sit in a bath of Gelli Baff for the morning to raise money together with their mascot Dandylion
The Little Oakley U8s are pictured here with our colleague Athena Thorndike. They came to the store on the day of England's first match.
Little Oakley U8s football team, one of our three charities for May/June, came into store on Saturday 14th June for a bag-pack. They raised £460!
