Part of our foyer focus this month was to save energy. To this end the Scottish Government had rolled out a programme which visited all the stores, explaining how we all could save green gasses.
This is our colleagues at the golf day at Dullature. The weather was not great but they all enjoyed the day. No big winners from Kilmarnock, but at least Cash For Kids benefited from the day. Jason, Ian and Joe on the day.
Winner of our Irn Bru bike raffle which we held instore. One of our local customers Mr Miles was the winner. He was delighted with the bike.
Our grocery colleagues and fresh food managers help raise funds for our Golf Day, where the aim was to raise funds for Cash for Kids. Jason warehouse colleague was assisted by James from Punjana tea to sell as much as they could. Over the two days they raised £150.00.
The Ayrshire stores hold a football tournament every year, against all Ayrshire stores. This year for the third year running Kilmarnock came first beating Irvine into second place.
On May 19th we arranged a football tournament for all the Ayrshire stores. It was played at the Powerleague in Kilmarnock and the winners for the third year running was Kilmarnock store. WELL DONE GUYS.
The Sky Project is one of our main projects this year. The group supports children who have had issues at school and life in a deprived area. It runs group meeting in the evening to try and keep children from getting involved with gangs and to keep them active. We gave them a tombola from which they raised £100 and also asked Asda Foundation for some support for them. Here is Ross collecting the cheque from Joe Neish.
At the end of the visit we took the children into the canteen where our colleagues made them very welcome with a drink and a cake. The children really enjoyed the bridge where they could see the whole store, and some even got to sit in the GSM. seat.
