Paul Miller our Customer Service Manager welcomed the dance Group from Cumnock who danced for our Cash For Kids project. The customers were delighted and stopped and clapped for the children.
On St Andrew's Day we had a group of youngsters from The Cumnock Dance Group who came in to entertain our customers.
Irene presented a cheque to one of our local schools for £50 pounds as a runner up in our CBY GBU . The school was Fenwick Primary which is on the outskirts of Kilmarnock. It is a small community school and were very grateful for the funds.
The pupils at the Grange Academy, held a Zumbathon and various other activities to support our Tickled Pink Campaign. They raised £200.00 for our very worthy cause. In the picture are two of the teachers and two of the fund raisers plus store GSM George Robertson and Irene King Comunity Colleague.
Llayton Scoular was the winner of our CBY GBU for the month of October, He was born Deaf and his parents were trying to raise funds to get him a new cochlear hearing aid . They were hoping to raise 11000. pounds, and I;m glad to say that they have now reached their target. It's good to know that we have helped in some small way.
George and Irene visited a Homeless drop in Centre in the Laigh Kirk Halls in Kilmarnock. We took along some morning goods such as scones and Pancakes and some fun size choc bars. In the picture George in helping ELLEN A LOCAL volunteer to butter the scones and make up some sandwiches. In was an insight to what they endure, and they were very grateful for all the goodies taken over.
One of our local Nursery groups arranged a Special Grandparents day. Several of the grandparents are careers for their grandchildren, through illness or separation and the group decided to dedicate a day to them. It was a vintage tea party and it was really enjoyed by all.
