We visited Wilson Stuart School's Employer Liaison Committee. We are looking forward to having some students in on placement in the new school year. Wilson Stuart School is a local school that teaches pupils with physical and/or mental disabilities. Their aim is to encourage their pupils to lead an independent life and by giving them a placement in our store, we hope to expand on that ethos. We're looking forward to having the pupils in store.

Kathy Checkley, one of our service colleagues, and her family did a 5k sponsored fancy dress walk for Autism West Midlands on 12th April. Jacob, the little boy in the pushchair, was finally diagnosed with Autism in January this year. “We did this walk to help raise awareness and support other families in need like ours” said Paul Checkley, Kathy’s son. Our colleagues in store were as generous as ever and donated £232.00. The Asda Foundation also donated £100.00 when they found out about Kathy fundraising. The total the Checkley family raised was £411, not including the £100 donation from Asda Foundation. Well done to the Checkley family!
