Person to be Proud of Award in Portadown has been running the past three years with all the Main Shopping Centres getting together to donated £100 each ( High street Mall, Magowan Buildings, Meadows and ASDA ) Niall Deputy GSM Asda Portadown with Tracey Jackson of High Street Mall, Adrian Farrell The Meadows shopping centre and front row Elaine Community Life Champion Asda Portadown with Patrick Van Dort of the Portadown Times .... We made the Front Cover of the Portadown Times this week and a write up inside to start the ball rolling and get people to start nominating an individual,volunteer,local personality or someone who deserves recognition fir their achievements or just for community spirit !!!
Having some fun during our ACn Training we were lucky to hae 3 great leaders to instruct us and help with some of the challenging tasks and question that was ahead of us all during the day.... but as we are the NI Community Life Champion we always find time for some fun !!
Asda Northern Ireland Community Life Champions had to attend their ACN Training - Active Communities Networks - We had to make a word from our bodies !!! Our word was ENJOY Elaine was the 'N' can you see what the word spelt ..... It was a laugh great exercise
Elaine was invited down to Goalline to help paint the Asda Foundation Multi-Sensory room which is in the final stages...Maxine trying out the new seat in the new room ... So excited the room is nearly here there will be an information evening to let everyone understand more about the items placed into the room and the caring for it... its all down to Asda Foundation who give the money to fund this great project !!
So pleased to recieve the 'Community Life' program for 2014 from Mr Andy Ckarke President and CEO of ASDA !! Its a big honour for Portadown for all the hard work thats been but into the community
Elaine Community Life Champion supported Ciara from Young Enterprise delivering the program 'Our Nation' this was my first time supporting this role and i loved it such engagement with the kids we had 40 & 40 two classes we also had David a trainging student teacher watching on and seeing how it was delivered. We were in Millington Primary School in Portadown.
Elaine Community Life Champion supported Ciara delivering the Young Enterprise progam of 'Our World' to the great kids of St Mary's School in Maghery ...Lovely wee country school we had 36 or so in class and had a brilliant end to the day with the Trading game !!!!
Asda Portadown customers have been really generous with the Recyling Christmas cards for Salvation Army we have over 6 bags plus the community table full of cards and on the floor so busy getting it all packed away neatly ready for collection
